By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Conditions of Sale. Your use of the website is also governed by our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

1. Seller information

Products are sold by:

2. Products covered

These Conditions apply to products offered by The Child Still Speaks, including:

  • Digital books and letter collections.

  • Complimentary and paid downloadable resources.

  • Personalised digital products, where offered.

  • Commissioned letters, where offered.

  • Gift copies and gift licences.

  • Other products identified during checkout.

The relevant product page will explain the format, contents, price and any product-specific conditions before purchase.

3. Digital product information

Product descriptions are prepared carefully to reflect what the customer will receive. Minor differences in colour, typography or appearance may occur between screens, printers and devices.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • Products are delivered digitally.

  • No physical product will be shipped.

  • Printing and binding costs are not included.

  • Customers are responsible for compatible devices, software and printing arrangements.

  • Emotional, personal or relational outcomes are not guaranteed.

4. Prices and currency

Prices are displayed in the currency shown during checkout, usually United States dollars.

Your bank, card provider or payment service may apply:

  • Currency-conversion charges.

  • International transaction fees.

  • Bank-processing fees.

  • Local taxes or duties.

These additional charges are controlled by the relevant provider or authority and are not retained by The Child Still Speaks.

5. Placing an order

Before completing payment, you are responsible for checking:

  • The product selected.

  • The price and currency.

  • Your name and email address.

  • Any personalisation information.

  • Any gift-recipient details.

Submitting payment represents an offer to purchase the selected product. Your order is accepted when payment is successfully confirmed and the digital product or order confirmation is issued.

We may decline or cancel an order when:

  • Payment has not been authorised.

  • The price or product information was displayed incorrectly.

  • Fraud, misuse or unauthorised purchasing is reasonably suspected.

  • The product is unavailable.

  • The order requests unlawful, abusive or harmful content.

  • Fulfilling the order would violate another person’s rights.

If we cancel a paid order before delivering the product, the amount paid will be refunded.

6. Payment processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe or another provider displayed during checkout.

We do not ordinarily receive or store complete card details. Payment providers may conduct fraud, identity and security checks according to their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Digital delivery

Digital products are sent to the email address entered during checkout or made available through a secure access page.

Delivery normally occurs automatically after successful payment. Security checks, incorrect email addresses or technical interruptions may occasionally cause delays.

If your download does not arrive:

  1. Check your spam, promotions and junk folders.

  2. Confirm that you entered the correct email address.

  3. Contact books@thechildstillspeaks.com with your name and transaction reference.

After verifying the purchase, we will resend the file or provide reasonable assistance.

8. Licence to use digital products

Purchasing a digital product gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use it for private, non-commercial purposes.

Unless the product page expressly provides otherwise, you may:

  • Download and save one personal copy.

  • Read the product on your personal devices.

  • Create a reasonable backup copy.

  • Print one complete copy for your personal use.

  • Print or privately share one chapter with the person it concerns.

You may not:

  • Forward or distribute the complete digital file.

  • Share a download link publicly or with multiple people.

  • Resell, rent, sublicense or commercially exploit the product.

  • Upload it to a website, social platform, shared drive or file-sharing service.

  • Remove copyright, authorship or ownership notices.

  • Modify the work and present the adapted version as your own.

  • Reproduce substantial portions in another book, course or commercial product.

  • Use the content to train, populate or develop an artificial-intelligence system.

Copyright and all related intellectual-property rights remain with Princess Kimaro and The Child Still Speaks.

9. Gift purchases

A complete digital product may only be sent to another person when:

  • You purchase it specifically as a gift.

  • The product includes a gift licence.

  • Written permission has been provided by The Child Still Speaks.

A personal purchase does not automatically permit forwarding the complete PDF to another recipient.

Unless otherwise stated, each digital gift copy is licensed to one recipient.

10. Digital purchases and refunds

Because digital products provide immediate access to complete copyrighted content, purchases are final once download access has been provided.

A correction, replacement or refund may be offered when:

  • You were charged more than once for the same order.

  • You received a different product from the one purchased.

  • The supplied file is corrupted or materially defective.

  • You cannot access a working copy after contacting us and allowing a reasonable opportunity to resolve the problem.

  • Applicable law requires another remedy.

A change of mind, failure to read the product, emotional dissatisfaction or an expectation contradicted by the product description does not ordinarily qualify for a refund.

Refund requests must include the purchaser’s name, order email and transaction reference. Requests should be sent to books@thechildstillspeaks.com.

Nothing in these Conditions excludes any consumer right that cannot legally be limited.

11. Personalised products

Where personalisation is offered, you are responsible for providing accurate names, spelling, relationship details and other requested information.

Personalised products include only the level of personalisation described on the relevant product page. Adding a recipient’s name does not necessarily mean the entire product will be rewritten for that person.

After personalisation work has begun:

  • The order cannot ordinarily be cancelled because of a change of mind.

  • Revisions are limited to those included in the purchased package.

  • New information or a changed creative direction may require an additional fee.

  • Delivery may be delayed if the required information is submitted late.

We will correct errors introduced by us without an additional charge.

12. Commissioned letters

Where commissioned writing is offered, the product page will specify:

  • The information the customer must provide.

  • The expected delivery period.

  • The number of revisions included.

  • The permitted personal use.

  • Any content we cannot accept.

Commissioned writing is interpretive. We cannot guarantee that a letter will produce a particular response, repair a relationship, create reconciliation or achieve a specific emotional outcome.

We may refuse requests involving deception, harassment, threats, impersonation, manipulation, unlawful conduct or infringement of another person’s rights.

13. Delivery periods for personalised work

Any stated delivery period begins after:

  • Payment has cleared.

  • All required information has been received.

  • Necessary clarification questions have been answered.

Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly confirmed as guaranteed. If a material delay occurs, we will communicate the revised timeframe.

14. Customer responsibility

You are responsible for deciding whether a product is suitable for your circumstances, emotional wellbeing and intended recipient.

The Child Still Speaks does not guarantee that:

  • A recipient will respond positively.

  • A conversation will produce reconciliation.

  • A letter will repair a relationship.

  • Every chapter will reflect your personal experience.

  • Reflective content will be emotionally comfortable for every reader.

Our products are intended for personal reflection and communication. They do not constitute therapy, medical advice, diagnosis, crisis intervention or professional mental-health care.

15. Intellectual-property infringement

Unauthorised copying, distribution, adaptation or resale may result in:

  • Withdrawal of product access.

  • Removal requests sent to platforms hosting the material.

  • Suspension from future purchases.

  • Recovery of losses where legally available.

  • Other appropriate legal action.

16. Payment disputes and chargebacks

Contact books@thechildstillspeaks.com first if you believe a payment was duplicated, unauthorised or connected to a product you could not access.

We will investigate the issue and attempt to resolve it promptly.

Nothing in these Conditions removes your right to contact your payment provider. However, knowingly filing a false or fraudulent payment dispute after receiving the product may result in access being withdrawn and relevant evidence being provided to the payment processor.

17. Service interruptions

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances reasonably outside our control, including:

  • Internet or hosting failures.

  • Payment-provider interruptions.

  • Email-delivery problems.

  • Power or telecommunications outages.

  • Government restrictions.

  • Natural disasters or other serious disruptions.

We will take reasonable steps to restore access or complete delivery when possible.

18. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability connected to a purchased product will not exceed the amount paid for that product.

We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from:

  • A recipient’s response.

  • Decisions made after reading the product.

  • Incompatible devices, software or printers.

  • Unauthorised sharing by the purchaser.

  • Third-party services outside our control.

Nothing in these Conditions limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

19. Privacy

We process order, payment and delivery information according to our Privacy Policy.

By placing an order, you authorise us and our service providers to process information reasonably necessary to complete payment, deliver the product, prevent fraud and provide customer support.

Marketing communication will only be sent where an appropriate legal basis exists. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time.

20. Changes to these conditions

The Conditions displayed when you place an order will govern that purchase.

We may update these Conditions for future purchases when our products, services, providers or legal obligations change. Updated Conditions will not retroactively change an existing order unless required by law or agreed with the customer.

21. Governing law and disputes

These Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that may apply where the customer lives.

Before commencing formal proceedings, both parties should make a reasonable effort to resolve the dispute through written communication.
